IBCC Islamabad(Inter Board Coordination Committee Islamabad) handle the issues relating to the standardization of examination, assessment, and evaluation at secondary and higher secondary school levels through coordination along with the recognition of local and foreign qualifications, the Inter Boards Committee of Chairmen is hereby reconstituted and restructured as the Inter Boards Coordination Commission famously known as IBCC Islamabad.

In order to achieve a fair measure of uniformity in academic evaluation and curricular standards, the IBCC was established at the federal level in 1972. Its duties also included promoting extracurricular and curricular activities on an inter-board basis, serving as a forum for discussion and consultation for the chief executives of the Boards on all matters pertaining to the development and promotion of Intermediate and Secondary Education, and making appropriate recommendations to the Government
